Drum filter for fish lice

Focus Construction and Focus Engineering have been working together with Smir to manufacture drum filter that cleans the seawater before it goes back to the sea after de-liceing of fish. The filter shown in the video is a new generation of the filter and is in fact one of the filters onboard the greatest de-licing vessel “Hydro Patriot” from Mowi Nord.
What is new on this generation?
The design is optimized to save weight and cost. The roller and bearing are improved and the filter is delivered complete with motor and gearbox.

Made from stainless steel, the design is a hygienic, robust solution with high capacity. Integrated into the filter design is an automatic washing system, reducing the washing time.

In this project Focus Construction made available a dashboard to the Client so they could follow the manufacturing process live.
Focus Construction also delivers a tailormade system where the Client easily can order spareparts.
